This programme provides Level 2 and 3 fitness instructors with the skills and knowledge needed to engage and communicate with customers in a way that will support the client and help maintain adherence to regular activity.

Pre-requisite:

Level 2 Fitness Instructor (ETM, GYM, Aqua)

Format:

One day (face to face)

 

Motivating Students Exercise Outdoors
Motivational interviewing has helped me in the workplace by allowing the individuals to feel more relaxed. They feel able to speak freely about themselves which gives me information about how I can help them maintain or improve their health.
It was especially useful in building a rapport within a short period of time, and then allows participants to come up with ways they thought they could do to assist them in behaviour change.
