With February the month where you are meant to be back to your burst of energy after either, a sluggish January recovering or detoxing from Christmas, or motivated as you’ve found a routine within your new year new you regime, I find myself already in need for another seasonal break. I am already burnt out in month two! How did this happen?

When chatting to friends, I don’t seem to be the only one.

With so many bugs doing the rounds, endless cold weather and trying to manage life with expenses everyone is feeling, how are you doing?

February is meant to be the time for love and caring. Checking-in with the ones you love, even sending valentines wishes, but within your community, it all starts with you. We need time to pause to take a look a little closer to home and check-in with ourselves. A slice of self-love for February.

We are a company who promotes community, healthier lifestyles and mental wellbeing. As much as we should look out for each other, in all the mix, don’t forget yourself.

I took a moment of pause for one evening last week and stopping caused my immune system to let go! My body told me to slow and breathe, but what did I do? I got straight back into reality the next day.

Anyone else find it hard to listen to your own advice?

Find one thing for you this month. Whether it’s a book you’ve been craving to open, turning your phone off on Sundays, actually going to bed early. Avoid scrolling when you are tired. Eat a healthier breakfast. Get 8,000 steps in a day.

The to-do list can wait.

We should not be feeling overwhelmed by February. Your mind and body need rest and will thank you for it.

Balance is the key. We all need it. What brings you balance?

A bit of self- love will help you but as a bonus, it will brush off on the others you support. You will be able to support your community stronger, as you’ve given yourself time to breathe.

Let’s avoid running on empty. Spread the love.
